EVA Product Manufacturing Process
There are several methods used to manufacture EVA products depending on the application. Here’s a general overview of the most common production steps:
Foaming Process
Raw Material Blending: EVA resin is mixed with additives such as foaming agents, cross-linking agents, and fillers.
Heat Foaming: The mixture is placed in a mold and heated to around 160°C–180°C to expand and foam.
Cooling & Shaping: After foaming, the material is cooled and solidified into lightweight, elastic foam sheets.
Cutting or Compression Molding
EVA foam sheets are cut or thermo-compressed into specific shapes for applications like insoles, interior packaging, or mats.
Lamination
EVA foam can be laminated with fabric, mesh, or synthetic leather to enhance texture, durability, or visual appeal.
Die-Cutting / Hot Pressing / Embossing
In final processing, EVA can be stamped, die-cut, or heat-pressed with textures or patterns depending on the product needs.
Application of Fabric With EVA
Insole/Midsole
Widely used in sports and casual shoes, the outer layer is made of Tricot for soft coverage, and the inner layer is EVA for shock absorption and support; functional insoles with activated carbon fibers remove odors, and are combined with EVA for cushioning.
Inner lining of the shoe
Used in high-end sports shoes or fashionable shoe styles, EVA is filled to prevent indentation, and the outer layer of Tricot enhances the comfort of putting on and taking off.
Composite sole:
Tricot is used as a "layered" material to prevent EVA from not bonding firmly with the outsole, and to enhance flexibility and tear resistance.
